2005 RAWCS Trip - Fiji
In 2005 a team of eight went to Fiji to assist with the Rota Homes Project. This project involves the construction of basic shelters for destitute homeless people, predominately Indians. Over 740 homes have been constructed throughout Fiji so far.
Our project was at the Naikabula Estate in Lautoka, where at the time of the trip 26 homes had been built so far but it was planned to reach 80 in total. The project is co-ordinated by Peter Drysdale a resident of Fiji but originally from Queensland, Australia.
