LIFE SKILLS HOUSE

We, together with the Rotary Clubs of Wodonga Central, West Wodonga, Belvoir-Wodonga and Albury Wodonga Sunrise, have been partnering with Belvoir Special School in Wodonga to build a Life Skills House within the grounds of the school.

What is a Life Skills House?

It's a place where students with special needs will learn to cook, clean, do laundry, and grow vegetables, all in a realistic home environment. It has been designed by experts within the school, and you can find detailed plans on its Facebook page, along with stage-by-stage reports on the project's progress. Incredibly, almost the entire cost of the project has been covered by donations, some in cash, some in materials, and some in the tireless labour of local tradespeople (with enthusiastic help from Rotarians of all skill levels).
